February 21st

Show tonight at the Outer Rim. Manhattan Project and Attila, respectively. This venue uses a fog machine and some pretty harsh stage lights, so I decided to not use a flash and try to capture how weird the stage looked. I set the ISO to 1600 to give it a sweet grainy look.

February 20th

I attempted to make vegan peanut butter cookies tonight based off of a super simple recipe I found online:

Luckily, Dan's mom is a trained chef, so she had everything I needed just hanging out in the kitchen:

At first I was super skeptical on it, because it just looked like a white mess:

But after a little while of getting my hands dirty, it started to actually look like something:

Needing Doh. LOLOLOLOLOL

Ready for the oven! Take note of how they look:

12 minutes later...They look done and (somewhat) tasty, right?

Nope! The bottom burnt and all it had was a hot, crumbly consistency. Definitely not cookie status.

Baking flip.

February 14th

Today we spent 9 hours painting our friend's new apartment for him. After all that, we decided we needed to have a little bit of fun with the freshly painted bathroom. This is what we came up with.

February 13th

Salt Lake City tattoo convention. This is Ryan Willard, before I moved to Utah he did all my art for me, and when I heard he was going to have a booth set up at the convention, I had to get some work done for old time's sake. I had wanted my ankles tattooed for a while and had never gotten around to it, so this seemed like the perfect opportunity.

February 12th

Unrest Fest at Murray Theater. This is still my favorite venue ever to shoot photos at, the stage is huge and has plenty of places for me to run around and get shots like this that aren't possible at most venues.

Side Note

As of right now it's sort of difficult to come up with interesting photos when all I do is go to school and do homework. I promise this will pick up more when things get less busy and I'm actually out and about again.

February 8th

Laundry room down the hall. If I ever want a $2.00 bottle of Coke, I know where to go.

February 7th - Super Bowl Sunday

Today was more about food than football. Dan's mom gave us her credit card and sent us to the grocery store with instructions not to spend over $100. I've done a full week's worth of grocery shopping on $9 before, so this was like a gold mine. This is what Nato came up with, and yes, he ate the whole thing by himself.

February 6th

Went to go play basketball at some elementary school down the street, and found these little paw prints leading around the entire building.

February 2nd

I have an assignment to shoot a photo of an object that we see everyday in a setting that we don't usually see it in. This is what I came up with.
I got my hands on one of these things courtesy of my school. It's a ring light, the light itself is supposed to attach to the front of your lens for macro photography. I didn't realize that until I read the instruction manual, but I figured I could probably do something cool with it. The next two images are me messing around with this thing.

The sun was at the perfect angle to come through the peephole on the door and create this weird little rainbow dot. That, or I am magical.

February 1st

Murray City Park. I'm not sure how much more winter I can handle, so every time there is a sunny, nice day, I try to take advantage of it as much as possible and go outside and walk around.

:)

January 30th

Two tables worth of merch and a sweet banner is a sure sign of blowing up. It's always nice to see your friends excelling at something.

January 29th

My other baby besides my camera. Spring is approaching and we're about to be inseparable again. Everything on this bike is at least 3 years old, I'm so out of touch with what is currently cool in the BMX world. Honestly not too worried about it.

January 28th

Being bored and killing time. I love that hoodie. Thanks Tom.
